So you want to be a bursar?
If you are
considering a career as a bursar or are a senior member of the
support staff within the independent school sector why not book to
attend our popular 'So You Want to be a Bursar?' webinar course.
The course offers an invaluable insight into this stimulating and
challenging career.
The course is delivered via four webinars split over two
days. Timings for the webinars on the first day are 11am -
12.15pm and 4pm to 5pm. For the second day, timings are 11am
- 12 noon and 4pm to 5pm. The webinars are available to
non-members of ISBA as well as support staff currently working in
independent schools who are looking to progress their career.
Access to the recorded sessions and presentation is included in
your fee and you will also receive a copy of the publication 'The
work of the bursar: a Jack of all trades?', a one-year subscription
to our termly magazine plus a one-to-one follow-up phone call with
our Chief Operating Officer or Chief Executive.
You are advised to book early as the number of places available
are limited in order to provide a valuable attendee experience
during the webinars.
Each webinar session will provide
essential information on:
- the nature, structure and features of the independent education
sector
- current issues and challenges for the independent sector
- the challenges of being a bursar in both a large and small
school and how to find the ideal job with advice from a specialist
recruiter for the independent schools' sector
- an update on the current situation in schools with regards to
Covid-19

in the independent school sector as well as support staff in
independent schools who have considerable administrative management
experience and are looking to progress their career.
