Summary and main purpose:

The Director of Music is responsible for providing strategic leadership and operational management of the school’s music department. This position oversees curriculum planning, teaching, performance activities, and staff supervision to ensure the delivery of a high-quality, comprehensive, and inclusive music program. The Director of Music will promote excellence in music education, foster student engagement, and uphold the values and policies of the school  Music at Aldenham is given a high priority, with every pupil in the School taking part in the annual House Music Competition which is seen as one of the most important events in the School calendar. The Director of Music will teach across the age range and demonstrate excellent leadership and management qualities.
