We are seeking a maintenance assistant to join the St Swithun's staff on a part time basis.
The maintenance assistant reports to the estates manager, under the day-to-day supervision of the maintenance supervisor and is part of the wider estates department. The maintenance team comprises the maintenance supervisor, two skilled tradespeople and this maintenance assistant role.?
The estates department is made up of small maintenance, grounds, caretaking and transport teams. Whilst working on their own projects and priorities, all estates staff support each other at peak times. ?
The postholder will also provide a 'backup' to the caretaking team, taking on duties such as evening site security and weekend on call duties when needed.
The weekly working pattern of 20 hours per week can be flexible for the right candidate, it could be four hours on five days, or more hours on fewer days. Hours worked in the evening or weekend to provide caretaker cover will be agreed in advance and may be in place of some usual working hours, or may be paid as overtime. ?
?The postholder will be entitled to 5.6 weeks of annual leave including an allocation for bank holidays.? ?The salary for this role is £26,853 FTE (£13,426.50 pro rata for the part time hours)?
