Self Employed visiting Music Teacher - Double Bass

The Opportunity

A space has become available for a Visiting Music Teacher (Double Bass) to use the facilities at St Paul’s School (SPS) and St Paul’s Juniors (SPJ).

Visiting Music Teachers (VMTs) are self-employed and the contract for provision of lessons is between parents and the VMT.  VMT Service Agreements and arrangements for instrumental lessons are managed by the Music School Manager (MSM), who acts as an agent in making the contractual arrangements with parents. 

There are currently two students, with an aim for this to increase over the academic year with support from student recruitment programmes within the SPJ Music Department. The current teaching rate for academic year 2025/26 is £37.42 per 35-minute lesson. If you have any questions about the vacancy, please contact the Music School Manager at IH@stpaulsschool.org.uk.

Closing date for expressions of interest is 9am on Friday 26th September. Following your expression of interest, you may be invited to a meeting with the Music School Manager at a mutually agreed time during the week commencing Monday 6th October.
