The Role
We require an experienced IT professional with excellent up to date, hands on technical experience to manage the School’s IT systems, infrastructure and hardware. The IT Manager will have responsibility for delivery of first- and second-line support services to the School. Reporting to both the Director of Digital Learning and the Director of Finance and Operations the IT Manager will support circa 370 students and 160 staff (teaching and support roles). The IT Manager will be responsible for delivering and developing reliable and scalable ICT solutions across network, wireless, desktop, storage and server infrastructures.
The IT Manager will have excellent knowledge of the Microsoft cloud infrastructure, device management, server systems, switches, networking and cyber security. The IT Manager will be comfortable working with little supervision and also liaising and interacting with colleagues across the school.
The IT Manager will look for service improvements, challenge status quo, have the ability and flexibility to be innovative and bring about the required change. We are looking for someone who can both contribute to the strategic direction of the School in relation to IT as well as deal with day to day issues that arise for students and staff.
This is an integral role for the School as education moves increasingly towards technology for delivery in the School and remotely for pupils. We are looking for someone who is energetic and organised, with strong technical skills but also someone who can communicate with the wider School community.
