DIRECTOR OF FINANCE AND OPERATIONS (BURSAR) AND CLERK TO THE GOVERNORS

August 2020 or before by negotiation

The Governors are seeking a successor to the current Director of Finance and Operations and Clerk to the Governors who is retiring in August 2020. The successful candidate will provide inspirational leadership to the business support team and ensure the successful management of the day to day operations of the School.

The Director of Finance and Operations is a critical member of the Senior Executive Team and he/she also acts as Clerk to the Governors.  The role holder will be expected to manage the commercial and business aspects of the School and establish highly effective, collaborative relationships with Governors and colleagues at all levels.

The ideal candidate will be an individual of proven leadership ability, a strategic thinker and able to turn vision into reality in partnership with the Senior Executive Team and Governors. Financial literacy and robust commercial judgement will be essential. 

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and inspiring individual, who will be working with talented senior leaders, a committed staff, and supportive Governors who are ambitious and have a clear strategic vision for the School.  Previous experience in the education sector is desirable but not essential.
