Tockington Manor School is a small independent Preparatory School and nursery, educating boys and girls from 2 – 13 years of age. The school is situated in the village of Tockington, a few minutes’ drive from Junction 16 of the M5, just north of the city of Bristol. The school and its nursery sit in 28 acres of beautiful grounds, providing a safe, secure and happy environment for its pupils. Boasting first class sports pitches, a 25 metre indoor swimming pool and an all-weather pitch, it is also home to one of the largest privately owned arboretums in the UK. Recent projects completed include brand new Music and Performing Arts Suite, and an Art Studio.
Following the retirement of the previous post holder, we are seeking a high calibre Estates Manager who will play an active and essential role within the school community. The ideal candidate will have a background in Estates Management, preferably in a school or similar setting. Knowledge of grounds and listed buildings would be advantageous, as would a trade. You will be expected to have strong organisational, practical and communication skills, and have experience of managing a small team.
You will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of the school’s grounds and buildings to the highest standards. You will also oversee site security and health and safety. As the role sits within the school’s non-teaching Senior Management Team, you will be key to developing and managing major building projects and improvements to the school’s infrastructure at an exciting time of growth.
The role is 42.5 hours per week all year round, with 25 days’ holiday (plus bank holidays). Salary: Competitive.
